after a lot of reading, i am confused as hell...lol

But it is MOST likely to be a W56 tranny if it had a 22re in it,or a g52 or g54 if it had a 22r in it.

look at this chart, it might help

if the speedo gear is on the passenger side its mostlikely a W series

if its on the drivers side its most likely a G series

    pics are always helpful

id go throw it through his window.

    hate false advertising on craigslist.

you could prolly find one in the portland area if you asked over at www.celica-gts.com

but a 4 speed isnt that bad compared to a 5-speed. 4th gear in a 4 speed ispretty much the same as 5th in a 5speed

if you want to drive up here ill trade ya a 5 speed of your choice for a 4 speed.

    i got w50,55,58's

did a lil research and it turns out im wrong, 4th in a 4 speed is not the same as 5th in a 5speed.

ShoNuff~ Does the W55 bell housing fit on the W58 box? I have my original 4 speed to trade for the W58 if the bell housing from the W55 fits... Let me know!

Ibeseen~ Before you buy your next trans, take a look at the data sticker/plate cause it'll tell you what trans it has... Good luck on the search!

iirc all W series bell housings interchange except the W50. but im not 100% on that info. google a bit to be sure and report back if ya would. or just measure the bolt pattern.

but any W series meant for any 8r,18r,18rg,20r,22r,22re,22ret will fit on any other r series eng.

now to finish my coffee and go wheelin
