looking to pick up a 4wd short bed for my 2wd short bed pickup. Anyone know if the dimensions are the same and how about the mounting tabs? Any information is greatly appreciated as I am currently stuck in bed with a shattered leg and cant physically o check out the bed. Thanks.

 

also will the tailgate off the 4wd bed fit my 2wd bed? they both have the side latches.

 

I would have to say that both are Identical

 

Yeah everthing from the 2wd bed will work, mounting is same also. Only difference is the fender section is wider.

Salty did you find a 4wd Jap bed or is it an american bed with side latches for the tailgate?

 

its a 4wd with side latches. not sure american or jap.

 

the front mounts could be different but they unbolt from the 4wd bed and can be welded [or bolted but the metal is double thick so better have good drill bits] to the 2wd bed but that is going 2wd bed to 4wd truck you should be ok might have to fab a littl tab between the front two cross rails for the front bed mount or just leave it off six bed bolts should be enough [longbeds have 8 idk about shorts]
