    are the same year pickup/4runner seats interchangeable or do i have to make brackets?

    No they are interchangeable if you want them to be a direct bolt on. If you have a 90 model toy then you would look for a 90-95 4runner and get the buckets off of that. Pretty self explanatory regarding removal and installation.

    Would like to know this as well in tan/brown/reclining, but what newer Toyota seats would direct fit in my 82, they didn't start making 4 Runners until 84 I believe?

    ive got a set of tan one that could use a good cleaning and need headrests, prolly lookin at like $100 shipped? i could put em on ebay if ya want or straight through here?
