4 speed to 5 speed

    I have a 88 regular cab short bed. I want to put a 5 speed in, what do I need to do. Thank you that is all

    unbolt your 4 speed from under the truck......... bolt in the 5 speed in place. you may need to trim the area behind the shifter opening..... i had to cut back arouond 3 inches.... other than that. you can use the same d-shaft slave cylinder, clutch etc.....

    btw..... since you have a 3:07 rear end (more than likely) you will get a higher gear pull in 5th :waytogo:
