Put a xmember between the upper bag mounts. Otherwise your frame may want to go from | | to \ / over time

I’m taking the bags off. Putting coil overs on instead.

Yea this site has a lot of hidden golden nuggets!

I have a short build thread on my current truck. Lexxxi is her name! Should find it in the 88-95 builds. Been having trouble finishing her since I just had my first daughter (3rd kid) so a lot of my spare time goes to daddy duty. But I'm still wrenching!!

I need a 4 link setup on mines for sure! But in the mean time I'm working on a ghetto solution for good handling.. lowered on blocks but supported by load leveling springs from Sumo springs.. yea, polyurethane!! Idk if it's going to work but, trial and error!

upper links in place. I know that peice of angle across is overkill but it’s all I had ,I got that for free!! The suspension works great. Got to clean up and paint. Next is the fuel cell and brake lines.

I cant tell how close the angle iron is to the driveshaft bit i would definitely notch it and get rid of the crossmember right ahead of it.

The driveshaft is fine. Not even close to the either crossmember. I’ll take a better pic. But I will notch it.

Are those bushings? You should have heim joints/spherical bushings on one side to prevent binding…..although I guess you won’t have much suspension travel, so really you should be fine. The angle-iron looks good to me, stuff should be over-built imo, but I agree it should be notched.

Those are bushings. That’s what came on the truck when I bought it. I thought about heim joints. I might run these for awhile then try them soon. Thanks for the input. Lots of good info on here. Glad I joined.

Heims will make stuff feel more solid so if you're after handling then I'd definitely be looking at that for sure. Just keep one end of the links in rubber/poly to keep some of the vibrations away from you
