I have a 1986 2wd 22r auto with a couple bent axles and over the course of the winter I am going to be installing a VW TDI and W55 transmission. I would like to know if I can swap a 4.10 3rd member from an 88 4wd 22Ret into my housing and if the axles from a 2wd will work with that. My original ratio is 3.73.

So basically a 2wd housing with a v6/t 3rd member and 2wd axles?

Also if I can't find good used axles, where do you get new 2wd axles?
