On your 84? That style? I'm sure it would work. Maybe narrow it a bit if you run 2wd fenders.

just looked it up on minitruckin. savage truck inside and out. looks like i'll have to redo the radiator support

 

i personally liked this one, 4wd sheet metal, shaved corners, 4 runner head lights grill and bumper. I miss my old truck.

 

I fit a 98 tacoma hood on my 92 once. You have to cut the corners of the hood near the windshield. Plus cut out a 3 finger sized part on your truck under those corners. And space out the hood latch more forward. So if a 4 runner hood is wider or longer than a tacoma then you may be pushing it.
