How hard is it to do this swap?

not that hard really.


but a bit of fab will be needed. the 3.slow eng mounts (on frame) are shorter then the trucks with the 22re. so you'll need to relocate them, the mounts will bolt to the perches but they arnt in the right spot.

then if you have a donor truck, or find one in a junkyard, you can just replace the ecu harness.

only other major hiccup is the tranny, you'll need one with a 22r bellhousing.


here in less then a month, my buddy will not be sick anymore (hopefully) and we'll get back to the 3.slow to 22re SAS 4rnr for his mom. i will be posting pics n stuff.

as you can see she's thrilled that this has taken 4yrs

 

Just do the 3.4L swap?
