3.0 motor over heating????

    90 single cab 4cyl mini truck
    just did a engine swap on my 4wd toyota and on the way home it stared over heating and the heater core started leaking i by passed it and put a new thermostat in still over heating any ideas what to do know?????


    appreciate any info need to get back on the road asap

    Put new head gasket(s) in it :D

    lol. 1st thing everyones guna say.....Gaskets... Im just finishing mine up..

    Is it leaking fluid at all?

    I got an idea. Do another engine swap and put in the 3.4. 3.0's are notorious for having overheating issues. I can't really guide you in the right direction because i've never had a 3vz. Why'd you go with the 3.0 anyway? Sorry if it sounds like i'm being a prick...didn't mean any offense.

    yea i didnt find out about the crappiness of the 3.0 til after i got my truck. The OP probably did the same...
