I have a 93 2wd... I purchased it in late 02 with only 29,000 miles. Seems the truck sat for about 6 years. Anyway the down side of this combined with northern winters is most of my front frame and especially suspension are pretty rusted. So by fall I will have my 87 4wd on the road and space on my lift to rebuild my 2wd.

I am wondering if there are any guys out there who have 2wd front suspension parts they are not using. Mostly I am looking for control arms, especially lower arms.

Or does anyone know where I can get new lower arms for a decent price...

    Thanks for any help

No plans to bag... just replacing shot parts...

I have had thought of switching to coil over shocks and ditch the torsion bars
a tubular upper control arm should work for that with a stock lower arm
thinking maybe it would be a better ride and handling
need to do more research on it tho...

have you thought about the bag over shock? Kind of gives you the best of both worlds without all the extra work to add bags. The new ones that slam has are pretty impressive and not really too damn expensive. You'd still be able to go low and not sacrifice the ride quality. For around $500 you can put tubular arms on and ditch the torsion and strut bars all together. My suspension is somewhat all stock except for the uppers. Seth made me a pair of tubular uppers. I modified the strut arms and the lower arms to work on 18's up to a 20 on a2 3/4 bd.

I know of the bag shock, but I don't want a system that requires air I don't want a tank or compressor

I was thinking of using fabtech uppers for actually lifting but they don't have to be lifted and won't work without aftermarket bars that you can turn up for lift
anyway they are tube bars so I could get the clearance I need for a coilover shock

Call Steve at Cando Specialties. He'll guide you in the direction you need.

Just a note, you don't have to run a tank with bags or bag-overs. Just inflate and forget. But with bags, you are kinda limited in the spring rate department. Coils are easy to change out......

Steve does a great job and is a wonderful person to deal with. He helped me out a lot when I set up my reverse 4 link.

The prices they have on their arms is actually pretty good especially for the way they are built and one of th few that builds arms for toyotas. I saw a pretty nice bag over setup on a tacoma at ITB last weekend, 2 gal tanks, a small thomas compressor, 1/4 lines thats all he had.

For your original question, only arms I know of are OEM, tubular or the ones that lowering arms DJM make. I reused my lower arms on my setup so I don't have any extras.

I don't need the spindles... just the upper and lower arms...

Im interested in your Coilover idea....
    Any new findings?
How where you going to mount it?
Weld in a hoop for for the upper coilover to mount to?
And for the lower you where you going to use the stock shock mount just reinforced?

I actually wanna take my truck to a road corse.

Searching the net for ways to install Coilover or to see if anyone has pictures. I thougth about the tacoma suspension and its a coil spring design. Does anyone know the dimensions of the a arms (upper and lower). Curious to see if they are the same as ours and could simply just bolt on. Just throwing ideas out there...
