    This week I have bought 3 trucks. 1 1983 lwb 4x4, 1 1982 swb 4x4, and 1 1982 lwb 2wd.
Long story short will the cab and bed from the 2wd mount to a 4wd frame?
I want to put the 2wd cab on the 82 swb 4x4.
And the LWB bed on the 83 4x4.

Are the frame mounts the same?

The cab should be the same, the bed might not work if ones long and ones short bed

best bet is to go on your frame and measure the eye to eye of the mounts for the cab and the bed. then do the same on your cab and bed you wish to use. there might be differences between the lenghts of the frame mounts in relation to the cab mounts. this can be easily fixed by relocating the back cab mounts by cutting and rewelding, cause those are usually the ones that don't line up.

Yeah, I was gonna put the long bed off the 2wd on the long bed 4x4. And the 2x4 cab on the short 4x4.

Cabs should just swap. If ur swapping long bed to long bed then Just measure the bed mounts and see if the match

front mounts on the cabs are a little different .. but not much ..
fairly easly modified , as well as the transfer case shift hole

beds are not interchangable between long and short

Where are the differences in the cab mounts?
Will I have to relocate the mounts on the frame?

Again, No plans to try to put a long bed on a short bed frame.
Was going to put a 2wd long bed on 4x4 long bed frame.

the 2 front mounts on the cab are different , it's easiest to modify the cab

Slacker, seems your in the know, I got a rust free 2wd drive cab, is it worth the hassle to put it on the 4x4 or cut the pans out instead?

way easier to modify the front mounts on the cab .. if the floor boards are good .. then go for the mod , it's not that hard ..
