i have an 86 pickup and want to swap in a 2jz with a r154 tranny, but im wondering how much a swap would cost if i did all the installing myself? ive seen a bracket set for a 2jz swap from a 22r from BIC performance for 375, and jdmenginescorp.com has a 2jz and r154 tranny combo for about 3,400, what else would i need besides tools and stuff? im just looking for an estimate price on a full swap, please and thanks

 

figure for electronics, wireing harness, motor, trans, mounts, fuel lines, fuel pump and tools like a welder and basic hand tools if you dont have them. 6-8K if you do things right. expensive swap.
