Is this cam any good for a stock RE ? someone in my location is selling a 282 comp cam for $50 and it beats buying a Lc cam for 200$ . I was just wondering if anyone had any feed back on these cams or any info on the peaks and when it falls off or anything in that matter. Thanks if anyone cam help

It's a decent cam profile. But does it come with the rocker arms? It's already been broken in with a set of followers, if you don't reuse them you run the risk of destroying the cam and your current rockers. Saving a few bucks now can cost a lot down the road.

    Just a thought.

looks like a good cam. u'll probably want a bigger one in a little bit. more power is addicting. i've gone through about 4 cams, from Delta, Crower, to LCE. i've been using the same rockers. just make sure to lube up properly and "burnish" the cam to the rockers. make sure to roll the engine over to make sure no valves or anything stick or hit. (a small tip just in case u never installed cam before). when is all good, start engine and hold at 1800 rpm to mate cam to rockers. DONT FORGET ADJUST THE VALVES PRIOR TO STARTING!!!!!!

It usually voids warranty if you don't use new or resurfaced rockers with a new cam, but since it's not a new cam that doesn't matter.

Bad things can happen if you dont, but even with new stuff it still isnt a guarantee.

computer will def freak out. i ran a 292 -with A LOT of tweeks. still couldnt get it to really idle right. alot of duration for stock ecu without making the necessary mods. if u gonna go that big, best to get adjustable cam gear

    try it nai
if u dont like, just sell it and get another one :waytogo:

Someone help please , the stupido guy that said it was a 282 comp cam is no where to be found . Fckn ran up a coconut tree and lived there fckn assholes . I did research and searched it up by the num on the cam and its a damn 280 comp cam. Im fine with it but thats fckd up false advertisement these people nowadays. But the help i need is the cam i got is totally worth 50$ bones the only thing is , i have dual lc springs and all that good stuff but dont want to go through the hassle of buying a new head gasket but idk someone tell me otherwise and put it on. If i run the stock springs will i get a good mid to high range rpm like a savage or will it feel like im loosing cam around 3k or higher ?
