Ok I could use some advice I started out with a new long block took the old one out and put in the new one . (with a few minor problems ) which i worked out with the help of this site . Which brings us to the present . After about 2k miles the motor developed an oil leak. Around the timing chain cover on the lower passenger side.I waited until i could get to it so this weekednd i pulled the motor out and put new seals and gaskets on it then reinstalled it ......I doubled checked all the connections, all vac hoses to make sure everthing was back to orig. So now the starter turns the engine just fine But it don't sound like it is even trying to fire. So , i cracked open the banjo fitting going into the intake on the top .and took a gas shower.Ha Ha . it seemed like a good idea at the time. Next I pulled the #1 cyl. spark plug and it was covered with oil.... So i pulled all plugs same thing Fouled so i cleaned ,dried, and reinstalled guess what still would't start. so I removed the # 4 plug hooked it to the wire And I was getting spark.Which leads me to the toyota gods... I need help I'm a welder by trade I do understand spark .....Only thing i can think it may be the coil? The spark was a yellow orange color not blue . Thanks for any help I hate to tow it to the shop after all That i did so far thanks Gearmax!
I got a 22re fuel injected also hahaa, happened to mine to when my starter was ****ing up... This what happenned... Left my lights on, battery went low, i charged it, turn on, **** wound't fire, thought maybe my starter cause it wasnt working already, got a new one, tried it again, nothing... so i was clueless until the guy that sold it to me said it happen to him aswell and to check the fuses inside the truck, i pulled out every one of it and checked them, and afterward i started it again.. walah! Just in short terms, check your fuses ( pull all of them and stick them right back and try to turn it on... HOPE IT HELPS>>>
Ok I'll try at this point I have tried everything That i can think of I did pull the efi fuse but not all the fuses sounds simple enough to work!..... thanks Lets be clear on this the starter is'nt the problem The engine does not fire... I checked the battery it is fine . but i will try pulling all fuses tomarrow thanks
