22re misfires/wont fire when wet

    my truck tends to not start, or misfire pretty bad at first when it's wet outside, especially when i give it gas. after it warms up it's good but if i hit a puddle it does it again, any known causes?

    Your ignition components are getting wet....
    Look to see if yor wires, and distributor are sealed correctly.

    I agree as well...also check the wires & make sure that they dont have any burn through marks on them too.

    thanks guys, figured that was what it was. will change everything out probally anyways due to it being all probally factory parts

    check the coil too....mine did something simlair to that and it was a bad coil.
