I wish I had the money for a new engine, especially a hopped-up one. But, I paid $500 for the truck to have something to experiment on ('bagging, etc). It runs, but it has ~240K miles on it with water in the oil from an ate-up timing cover or blown head gasket. I just want a good, "low-mileage" replacement engine to get it back to reliable daily driver status as quickly and easily as possible. I'm digging around on car-part.com, I just was hoping there would be someone with what I need within a few hours drive from me. I might be able to help you out bud! I've got a rebuilt shortblock on the stand right now, I just need to order the new timing components and cover, new oil/water pumps, do a valve grind and start assembling... The head has been resurfaced/pressure tested/bead blasted already... I'm 30 mins northeast of downtown Houston... I can have it ready for you by the end of the month... Got one 22RE 55,000mi on odometer, engine, 5spd, all harness except taillight, ecu, all emissions, fuel tank, etc. I took it as trade from krazedprof's widow, was going to put it in a camaro but i'd sell it.
