So I just ordered my LCE headers and they should be here next week. I have my block off plates for the air injection on the exhaust side. I have my block off plate for the EGR on the side of the head and I have my block off plate for the sensor on the intake. Do I eliminate all the vacuum lines and plug them? What about the char coal canister. I read you will have a fuel smell if you leave it unplugged in the engine bay. What else do I need to know about desmogging a 22RE? I have seen plenty of info to desmog a carb 22r but nothing about how to desmog a fuel injected 22RE? Is there anything else I need to know before I get started? What about the bypass tube behind the head? Once its disconnected on both sides I can just leave it there as is? What resistor do I need to install for the sensor so I dont throw EGR codes?
So im thinking Im going to install the header, install the block off plates and plug all vacuum lines but leave a line for the fuel pressure regulator, brake booster and pcv lines. Is that right? White Trash? What about the resistor for the sensor? Right now Im thinking I use a 10k resistor in the EGR temp sensor plug and that will keep the cel from coming on? and Im blocking off the hole for the temp sensor as well.
I found this thread that was very informative for me. http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/threads/emissions-removal.6102/
