I have a 1988 Toy PU with a 22R. I have a mild cam in it and a 3 stage flow master exhaust. Before I put the cam in it I would get 26-27 MPG. I now get around 21-22. Will a header make a big difference in performance and will it knock down MPG more? Is it hard to take off the stock manifold and put in the header ? Which brand of header is recommended ?

    Thanks

I have a trd stage two cam and doweny header, I get about 21-20 mpg now, spary some wd-40 on the bolts to help free them up, its not hard to do at all, make sure you get the gasket thay go's with the header, good luck

I have the Doug Thorley header. Good price and good product.

its pretty easy. i have LCE street header. of course, any engine "performance" mod will decrease fuel mileage imo. i get about 260mpt. im looking to lose a little more lol
