I remember talking to someone who had an extra 20R head. I may be in need of one, but I can't remember who it was. I know my valve guides are bad and I can't really budget a full rebuild right now or the forseeable future, so swapping a good head on would really help. PM me or reply to this thread if you were the one that had it, or have one. I obviously can't afford a super high end one, just a stocker in good condition that has the fuel pump mount. Thanks!
I could just pull mine and have it redone, really. There's a guy in Damascus that has a complete 20R he says is in good condition for $150, but "good condition" might be "yea it runs" to some people, and mine runs! So that wouldn't be much of an improvement, but I'm gonna be down there weds so I'll check it out anyways. You never know. For now I'm looking for something I can bolt on and maybe get a couple years out of, or until the rings or bearings go. If I had the ca$h I'd just spring for a rebuilt 22R and call it good, but with an album I'm recording right now and taxes coming up, I'm kinda stuck.
I've got a good, complete 20r head as well. Complete motor from my '75 actually but it has some serious blow-by. Just picked up a 22r for it so the 20r will just be sitting. Let me know if you're interested.
'75s have electric fuel pumps right? means the fuel pump boss isn't machined out. I'm running a mech fuel pump so I need a head that works with it. If it does what would you want for it?
Im just putting this out there... But my 20R cyl head. Stock, good condition, ran fine and didnt smoke or burn oil. Complete. Non fuel pump though. $100 plus shipping.
