258607017_702691060717486_6144621961433793767_n.jpg So I've been looking for a bed for some time now and not had much luck. Tonight a bed for a 1995 Tacoma came up for sale locally. Anyone know if it will fit the 1994 frame and will the body lines match up? If anyone knows for sure I'd really appreciate the help.

Yeah that’s certainly an option but if the body lines are really off I guess I’ll keep looking.

I take it you didn't go with this option.. it's a nice straight bed but, the dip line that runs from front to back would just throw the whole side off. The top seams to line up but then that curve over the wheel well again doesn't add up to the 'squareness' our trucks still hold. IMHO

Was able to find an example of the Tacoma bed swap onto an 89-95 pickup.

The pics really suck, but this build over on yotatech shows an idea of what it would look like. What you might want to see is that the OP used a bolt-on aftermarket fuel door to resolve the fuel door on the wrong side issue.: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199/whelan709s-1993-pickup-dlx-build-up-thread-250411/

I know I've seen more, but now I want to say most of those were Tacoma fiberglass bed and front end swaps onto the previous pickup cab -- which was more common for desert prerunner builds.

That filler neck deal is slick, I’m about convinced I’m going to end up using a Tacoma bed and that mod would take care of the filler neck issue. Curious about how it mounts. Off to see if I can find out. Thanks for the responses guys.

As long as you're matching up the bed from a single cab to single cab, or xcab to xcab, I don't think you'll have issue. If you go from xcab to single cab, the mounts may not line up -- but I'm just guessing. Mounts shouldn't be that hard to move if you're determined

Anyone here strong in photoshop? If I could put the bed on and see it maybe I’d put the idea to rest.

That neck filler housing idea is great for a lot of applications! Neat. And now that you put them side by side, I think it would look great! If the mounts line up, go for it!

Yep I think I’ve convinced myself. Now to see how much I can buy a bed for. Has to be much easier than finding one for the 94 and earlier. This a pic online of a standard 1995 Tacoma, it looks just like the two wheel drive bed that was for sale locally. F8FDF281-5A09-453A-AFAE-0B27001D20B1.jpeg

Not a full bed, but here's another one: [IMG] [IMG]
I believe the thread said the Tacoma's bed mounts do not line up and require relocation to get them to bolt up.

    Where are you located?
