I recently dropped my 1993 extracab a little more. I have had the truck for 2 years, I got it as a old rusty pickup and basically replaced almost all of the body panels, me and my dad did the body work and painted it. To start we just dropped it by cranking the torsions and 2 inch blocks in back. Now I have replaced all four shocks with belltech street performance shocks. I kept the torsions cranked and installed belltech's drop spindles also, and have decided to do a 4 inch block in the rear for now. During this process i replaced all chassis components and the gas lines, and all brakes. I was about to take it out for a spin for the first time this low, and then the fuel pump went out.Now i need to replace that. I am interested to see how it rides with this setup. I may end up raising the front a bit if it rubs and depending how it rides. Here's my toy. Let me know what you think!
looks good. you will probably need a notch in the rear (i have 3" blocks and pulled the middle leaf and I smack the frame all the time). also in the front if you havent yet hammer the pinch weld flat (on the cab part at the back of the wheel well) and check for bolts going down through the inner wheel wells so you dont cut your tires.
Truck looks really sharp. The detail is great. Did you paint the frame silver to match? I would do like pat said and hammer the pinch and check the bolt that hold in the liner. Tires are not cheap and this is an easy way to say em. Keep up the great s Work.
