Decided to take a little mid construction photo shoot of the daily driver mini truck. Again, its a 1988 Toyota Pickup with a c-notch in the back with 4 inch lowering blocks, mono leafed, and drop spindles with the torsion bars adjusted all the way down to where its riding on the bump stops. Again, this was done by previous owner. IVe installed the new taillights, new front corner lamps, 4 runner chrome mirrors, some late 80's Camry chrome door handles and a 4 runner chrome grille. The roll pan will be here tomorrow from Grant Customs and as soon as she's done being painted (Cobalt Blue Firemist Metallic) Ill install a chrome bumper/valance assembly off a 92-95 Tacoma. May bag this thing later on down the line. Wheels are HD Tuning 17X7s with 205/40/17 tires all the way around. Interior plans are to go with a light tan vinyl and tweed combination. Anywho, enough blabbering, here's a few picks of the current primered state. Ive got about another 20 hours of body work to do to this thing before paint, so its almost ready.
Clean truck. From the ground to the bottom of the frame how high? That blie is going to look nice on the straight body. Cant wait to see those photos.
Very clean already cant wait to see the rest of the stuff on it. Hey how much were the rims and where did you find them? If you dont mind.
As far as the taillights, they will look better when the truck is painted blue. The wheels were I think 600 - 650 dollars, Ill have to look at the receipt to be sure. I purchased them at S & S Tire here locally in Lexington, KY.
From the ground to the frame is 4 inches. From the ground to the center bottom of the fender well outer edge is 22.5 inches front and rear.
yes i like this truck, also diggin the farm plate! ha can't wait to get mine on the road so i can put the antique tag on it
I made some custom temporary brackets to attach the front bumper out of aluminum. The bumper was held on by zip ties when I purchased it.
The size for these rims, which are HD Tuning Mach 5s, is 17x7 with a 40mm offset You can order them with black, red, or gold center sections. Inexpensive as well, around 150 a wheel. Also I am running 205/40/17 tires if that helps you out as well. Heres a link to the manufacturer's site for the wheels http://www.hd-inc.com/09-redmach5.html
