Hi, i'm new to the forum. I'll do my best to keep this updated and hopefully can provide help to everyone here. I've owned probably 10 toyotas in the last 15 years and i own an auto repair shop. if you have any questions feel free to ask! This is my 1988 toyota pickup that i am in the process of building. It came stock with the 22r, 4 speed, 8" rear end with 3.07's, and basically a stripped down truck. i bought it from my friend who loved it but could not take it when he moved with the promise it'd get a good home and a new lease on life. I have had it for some time now and play around with it. It currently has no engine, but i am building a new 22r for it. I also swapped the tranny for a celica 5 speed and a CUBE shifter out of Australia. It is dropped via torsions and blocks currently but will be getting drop spindles soon. The engine will have a stock bottom end with the exception of higher compression pistons. the top end will get an engnbldr street rv head and 270 cam. I will be using an offenhauser intake and weber 38 carb and a a headman header with magnaflow exhaust and i am going to run the davis DUI distributor. hopefully pistons will be here next week so my machining can get finished up and my bottom end assembled. -Dan
