    I recently bought a 1987 4Runner that I would like to perform a SAS on. I am not a serious "Rock Crawling" 4x4 guy that needs every top upgrade, but I have always preferred the solid axle look and performance over the IFS 4x4 system.

    I have done some research and found that Allpro and LCE both have the SAS kits. I am only looking to install a 3"-4" leaf spring kit.

    So my questions are;
    1-The truck has a 22REI that I want to keep & don't plan to upgrade. I may add a Turbo Charge System to the motor, but that's it.
    2-I don't mind a stiffer ride with the leaf spring/solid axle, but I want to make sure that it would be drivable on the highway & streets on a daily basis as the truck will spend 90% of it's time on the road over off the road.
    3-I am looking at MIT in El Cajon, CA to do this refit. Are they the best in SD?
    4-I am hoping to work with either Allpro or LCE to not only provide the SAS kits, but to also help secure a good condition front axle that is not beat to crap and also a custom front drive shaft. I figure it would be best to secure/buy everything from one place rather than giving MIT a bunch of assorted parts that nobody has specific resposibility for overall.
    5-What else am I forgetting here?

    I have always driven Ford trucks and now love this 4Runner since I could never afford one in the 1980's. I am open to all thoughts & suggestions & thank you for reading.

    do some research on RUF set ups, you take your factory rear springs and use those for the swap up front, a cheap popular swap for the rear are 53" Chevy springs. The Marlin Crawler forums and all Toyota and of course theres Pirate 4x4 but careful on the newb questions
