Hello. New to this forum. I have a few questions and did not know where is a good place to post the questions so I am sorry in advance.

Just bought this truck and the truck runs great. it has a 22R engine with automatic transmission. All stock. There's a few things I need to do to it. Here are my questions

Does anybody know where is a good place to find an owners manual.

Automatic transmission does not shift right. It shifts at 30 miles and the next one shift at 60. Not even sure how many speeds this transmission have. Not sure if overdrive is working. The person I bought it from told me he has not service the transmission for awhile.

Front passenger side has a sound that is hollow thump. Does anybody know what this it. I may need to get a front alignment and probably will get some answers there too.

    Thanks in advance

I think first of all you should do a basic trans flush with a filter change.See what it does.I don't think the owners manual will help you with that. You need a Chiltons or Haynes service manual. If it were my project I would start looking for a good 5 speed standard trans.you will need the matching drive shaft and trans mounting bracket for this also.Clutch slave, master, lines and a little cutting and drilling and thats about it.You will be happy in the long run.Any year 5 speed will work all the way up to 95.If your truck is an extra cab you will need the extra cab manual trans drive shaft. As for the thump up front you probably gotta go through your whole front suspension and replace old worn out parts like tie rods, control arm bushing etc.Good luck and throw up some pics so we can see.
