Is it possible to covert my new old 1985 SR5 2wd into an awesome 4WD?

Anything is possible with $. IMO just buy another truck that's 4wd and swap the body if you've got sentimental attachment to this one.

Please sell that clean 2wd and just buy a 4x4 before chopping that one apart. There is a market for both and there's a lot more mojo in an old school, unmolested truck.

I was pretty much going to say that.

If there is sentimental value to it a body swap will be best. Finding a truck that has been rolled over might be the hot line. If you dont have an attachment I would just look for another truck with what you want.
