I just ordered 4'' rear drop blocks but am not sure the proper way to lower the front of the truck. I've heard turn the torsion bars, but I want to keep somewhat of a stockish ride, if not stiffen it up. This is my first pickup so I'm ignorant to a lot of what goes on. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks guys,
    Ethan

Search "re-index torsion bar" itl lower the stance and stiffen the ride at the same time

You can drop with just torsions, BUT the best way is to do a 84+ front arm swap to get some Belltech drop spindles in there. It will keep you from having to f*** with the steering stuff. If you drop the front 4-5" your geometry will be compromised. But subtract 2" from that and your in a reasonable danger zone with the Belltechs.

I used 89 upper and lower arms and their associated ball joints with 91 1 ton V6 brakes up front ( 1" master and dual diaphragm booster and I can lock up 31's with EASE!) I have the same torsions as I did when my truck was built. I've been dropped into the weeds and raised (currently) to 2" shy of a stock 4x4 ride height. All on an 80 pickup.

Another advantage is you will gain 3/4" per side with the newer arms.
