1980's grille and headlights.....

    been looking at alot of minis lately, i'm really interested in the front ends of the older toyota mini's.....wondering if anyone has tried to put it on their newer minis or if its even possible?

    lets hope someone here has an idea lol....the four circle headlights look bad ass!

    i've wanted to do that as well.. i've tried looking for parts at the junkyards here, but haven't found any with the grille and lights ):
    if i had access to parts, i'd definitely try it

    i was looking oh phatmitzu's build page and saw he was attempting to do this but iono if he finished or not. he got his from a bmw e30. so i think there are parts that we can buy. i just want to know if its possible and if so how difficult it'd be...sigh hopefully someone comes along and informs us lol

    Anything is possible. There are many parts at the junkyard you could use. I kno BMWs with the 2 round headlights have a bracket where the two lights mount. As for a grill, ur guna have to fabricate.

    mount the headlights to the core support (DUH) and then brainstorm on ideas for the grill

    I really like the VW grills and lights. I might have access to the grill and lights. I know it is just the single lights but the double should be easily fabbed.

    I think it would look best with the corners shaved.

    i think it'd look best with the corners shaved also, i actually saw the 4 headlights and grille at the local pick your part the other day, might go back and get it. but yea just gotta do research on how to shave the corners, fab, and wiring the new lights up. any help would be appreciated.

    without makes it look older, the newer lights on the corners makes it look funny. 1 vote for no corner lights

    you gotta trim into the hood and fenders too. then shave the fenders once you get your grille in. also, the 89-95's are wider than the 74-78 hiluxes.

    yea definitley gotta shave the corners. Cinnammon i was thinking about using either a grill from a bmw e30 or a VW. i saw one at the junk yard the other day hopefully i won't have to mod as much as ur saying i might need to...
