Does anybody know if a late 80's yota windshield fits on a 1980 yota pickup...hail the size of a tennis ball ruin it..
For our trucks, only '79-'83 windshields will fit. In 1984, the redesign of the trucks brought out all new parts.
So I'm **** I can't find **** for my specially in the middle of nowhere ....ya know where can I find one..for decent price...
full coverage with glass and a call to the insurance is one way. or if you don't have glass coverage call a glass shop and they can order it. they're still available.
There are no new windshields available through Toyota and most glass places do not have them. Try Trekker Paul, he might have a used one or the Toyota parts dude. The parts manager at my local Toyota dealer found me a new Toyota factory windshield about 8-9 months ago in Arizona and according to him it was last factory unit available in the US. You might contact Satelite Auto Glass, they did my friends street rod and you could not tell it was ever damaged. Good luck, I hope you find a solution.
Thumb through the phone book and call around especially to the mobile services. It will save you time and they'll install it in your driveway. Yes, Toyota discontinued these windshields, although there will be a small supply in the aftermarket. They may even have the ones with the green shaded area at the top that goes on the SR5 models. I bought one brand new for my wheeler through a wrecking yard for $75, heck its still sitting unused in my shed since I parted out the truck it was intended for.
Sure, I just don't advertise it since it'd have to be shipped to most members and I have no fawking idea how I'd package it up.
