Whassup my Toyota mini family, this is my 1979 Toyota pickup bought it about a year ago and now I'm starting to upgrade her to my liking.lol

This is how she looked when I first bought her!

 

Pretty clean body on that truck tilt bed haven't seen one in a while you keeping it on there

 

So now fast forward a year later I wanted to upgrade because i got tired of looking at that classic hot rod look.haha

Just a few days ago I had some time and this was the out come! Hate it or love it

 

Yeah it's pretty clean for its year. yes I'm gonna keep the tilt bed because its unique, but of course its all for show i don't use it to load stuff in.lol

 

Yea I'd keep it to looks good always was one of my favorite body styles with the flares

 

NICE!!!!!! I dig the new wheels... Not sure why but I do. Yours in is so much better shape than my '79 I'm jelly.


Color wise... Not so much.



But love it or hate it, you can't miss it. And that's really what it's about. I give it 2 thumbs way up!

 

Thanks! yeah these body styles is one of my favorites too you gotta love that classic look. The 4wd flares was a big plus when i bought it because that was what I wanted to do.

 

Echonova. Thanks man! yeah at first I wasn't a big fan of that beadlock look on a 2wd but It fits the look now. Originally I was looking for 15x10 mesh rims but I came across these bad boys locally for a deal so i picked them up.

As for the color from day 1 i wanted to change the color asap. but i'm on a budget so i'll keep you guys updated with the color change. I was thinking a charcoal gray or something like that.

I know that the wheels are 15x10 Mickey Thompsons with the beadlock, I'm not to sure about the back space but when I have time I'll measure it out and let you know.

 

I figured give you guys a update on my truck. Today I re-indexed the torsion bars because before the anchor arm was about 2 inches from the ground and I Smashed the **** out of the driver side arm so i finally solved that issue.

Also I'll give y'all a sneak peak of the wheels i was gonna gonna use on my 87 toy but now I'm thinking about using them on my 79!

No I never do the swap the original owner converted it to the square headlights, but i'm gonna swap it back to the circle light frontend soon.

yeah I want to convert it back and keep it OG as possible. Do you have 79-83 doors by anychance? haha.. I have a 4 speed with a transfer case but i can ask around for you.
