Hey hey hey! My differential is howling and the volume knob only goes so high on my stereo.

Anybody have a good spare lying around?

    Thanks!

Nicely worded lol. And welcome to the site. I don't have a spare, but to help your search. All 8" rears will work, 2 or 4wd. Same spline count. One thing I learned is the 4 bolt flange at the front snout for the driveline changed its hole pattern around 82. So make sure you get the rear driveline flange from the ujoint back if you swap new/old styles. I learned that one the hard way lol.

Hey! Thanks, standardbyker88. Great advice. So what you're saying is, I could pick up an 8" third member off of a '79-83 pickup and be fine? I only reiterate because I have heard otherwise.
Considering the flange changes in '82.

Also! What ratio would I then consider? I see a lot of randoms on ebay, but nothing consistent. So I'm curious if that will make a huge difference.
