Checked some threads first..here goes My Chinook was running fine and then it got cold (mn winter) had to drive toyo in an emergency (interview) and first the turn signals went out (flashers work) then the idle went haywire ( came to stop applied brakes, no idle) there has been a touch ok dieseling when car dies. during the winter to date, when (trying to) warm up the truck I can get it to fast idle on first start up but once it dies, I cannot keep it running. I am ripe for switching out the stock carb as it is w/ a weber. any thoughts?
"do it" im all for a weber carb on toyotas, but i had a PITA time getting my baseline's set when i rebuilt it in cold weather, but.. i haven't ever gotten a new one and might have other issues that contributed.. and im new to carbs...but there seems to be more pros than cons for the swap. my $.02
