I am in need of some advice. my 75 toyota carburetor will not seal at the bottom. it has the plate with the coolant ports in the base and just enjoys pouring the coolant into my intake. I have acquired a complete intake from a 78 20r and have realized they canceled out that whole setup through the carburetor base. There are some other differences and am hoping to get informed on what they are. Being in good ol South Carolina where we just cut the smog pump belt off and let the dog use it for a chew toy I dont worry too much if the smog system works anymore I just really like to keep it mostly in tack for nostagia.

I do have the 78 intake manifold I could just mount on to delete out the whole flow through coolant base part of the carburetor that would not be too big of a deal. I am letting the intake soak at work and try to get more of the gunk off tomorrow.
