Hello! im new here, my name is Bill and this is my '72 hilux...

I bought it a few weeks ago and its in bad but fixable shape. You can read the story in the new members section, if ya want...

so, im going for a rat rod/truck thing... lowered, satin black, white walls, full moons... that kind of thing. probably stoopid, but i think it will look good.

started off trying to find a windshield for it. no luck as of yet, its been a week and none of the windshield shops can find one. the only one that can find one wants 500.00 installed. i bought it with a shattered windshield.

so i start looking at the lowering part, thinking i want to go bigger wheels, i had a hard time finding wheels that would fit, so i made some fit. the wheels/tires that are on it now are off a 2011 honda civic lx. 16x7, 5x4.5 pattern with 205/55/16 and they fit wonderful! i had to make the center bore 2mm larger, but it worked!
anyone know, what front springs will work on these trucks? i read on here that mitsubishi mighty max springs will work. is that true?

I'm kinda liking the rat rod thing too!

I bought a windshield for $178. When I picked it up the glass guy said it was one of two that were in their system. You might have to pay the $500.

As for springs, I went with the Moog 2278's. I had Brian from Beefed Taco make me some blocks. Installing this stuff is next after I wrap up my valve job.
