Hello I'm new to this forum and I wanted to share with you all my 71 Hilux. It is stock for the most part but it has been lowered and I did swap out the wheels. I hope to swap out the engine and tranny next year and add a Weber side draft carb.

This is what it looked like when I first bought a few months ago:love:

I immediately started working on it and took it apart and put it back together again

This is how it currently looks

Please leave me some comments and let me know what you think, I love opinions. I also hope to contribute in anyway as well.

    Damn, that's sexy as Hell.

Did you touch up the paint or is it all original?

That's really nice! I'm almost to the point to where I can start working on mine, and I plan on going for a similar look.

May I ask what you did suspension wise and what wheel/tire size you chose? Your truck is definitely top 3 here on this site. Such little work but looks so beautiful.

I love me a first gen. That one looks really clean. I like how simple you have it set up. I agree it needs to be lower. More of you 1st genners need to take after toydatto or me and have 1" ground clearance :D

Keep this thread man, great to see you back here on the forums and eager to see what you do with the truck! Any updated pictures? Or is the truck pretty much the same since we last saw it?
