Hello again. The previous owner desmogged my 74 chinook (hilux) with an 18rc but left the charcoal canister. Things are a bit fumey in my cab so I'm thinking this charcoal canister is not functioning properly or is routed incorrectly. The valve mechanism that all the vacuum lines is still there but only the line to the charcoal canister and the intake remain. The rest are plugged. The valve module seems like it has a long going on and I don't really understand how it functions frankly. With so many lines going to it plugged I wonder if it is still pulling vacuum properly for the canister.

Can anyone lend me some insight on how to desmog an 18rc but still use the canister?

Should i just ditch the thing and get a vented cap?

    thanks for the help!

I'm pointing at the two lines in the pick, the others are plugged at the ends IMG_2988.jpg

Also wondering after doing some research If i could just put a t fitting in where the crankcase vents to the air filter and run the canister into there sans valve?
