Wanna find out the weight of the 18r, because im thinking of swapping in an all aluminum buick 215 v8. They weigh about 300 pounds, so i wanted to see what the 18r weighed in comparison.
yeah i seem to recall them being over 400 since they are all cast. i know it was heavy sliding my 18r outta the bed of the truck and into the scrapyard lol
They're supposed to be heavy but I'm not sure how heavy, as I just lifted my block (with rods, crank, pistons, chain, etc) from the floor onto two chairs. It wasn't easy, but I didn't kill myself either and I'm not a big bloke.
