I also started tack welding my control arm tabs on the axle housing. Thanks for following the build!
Here is an update on the engine tear down. I plan on doing a full rebuild and a Weber carb swap. I also bought a rebuilt W55 for it last night :)
I removed the rear end to tear apart and weld on my control arm tabs. I also finished removing the front spring to start mocking up the air bags....

That is true, I plan on it. I think I am going to box all the way around it about 6 inches front to back.
