I run with guys that have a little of everything power wise and would recommend a welded diff anyday of the week. turbos to v-8s doesn't matter.

Will be needing a trans for an engine I now have in my possession. th350 or th400 hopefully with a torque converter or a t-5 ... the newer 4l6x...

oil pump on mine about a year ago... main seal at the pulley had gone bad on mine but dil gots you in the right direction.
r motor r transmssions .. otherwise do an engineswap and keep the right trans with the new engine.
