Wsup everybody name is chris and i drive a 1987 toyota pickup 22r. Starting the new year i plan on starting on making this truck look good. will post pics soon. -chris
Here in Socal w an out of state 88. Our 84-88 trucks are special to me. This was the period 4x4 was marketed heavily BUT 2wd still sold boatloads to people who wanted part of that "Oh what a feeling" The following year, the body lines SMOOTHED out for the 90's drivetrain wise, V6's sold more and the last of the 22Rs were being shoved into base trucks. The engine run for the 22R meant WE should have a large selection of cores before parts got expensive. On the street the majority of these are being utilized for work. It's amost embarrassing to drive w/o at least a toolbox in the back for me. 4WD maybe someday. just gonna enjoy my truck as is and make as many friends as I can w it. Good job on getting a Toyota brother!
the truck was given to me by my dad but its all beat up so i need to do ALOT of work. plans: go lower, wheels, power steering lol, rebuild engine or swap thats it for now but i need to come up with the money first.
