Okay one of my homies thinks his 99 Chrysler Sebring is way better than my truck. LOL... he said his has "wood grain" and that my truck is a piece of ****. It made my day when he text me that. I guess he just got it and wants to put a HID kit on it since I order the kits all the time. LOL... I told him that any car can have wood grain. "You can just stick it on." LOL....

just let him know that your trucks been around a bit and that its earned its place in a long line of reliable, built to last, built right vehicles. just remind him that theres likely more aluminum in a 24 pack of beer than the tin can he's driving in right now...... i can crush aluminum cas pretty easy....... how easy is it for you to crush steel frame rails?

When I worked at a shop, we did one up for a guy. He loved that car. He was one of the original Halo designers. Had a couple way cooler cars but liked the low profile he got with his sebring. They clean up alright I guess.

We basically just repainted it, shaved the rear bumper and added a couple hood vents. And tinted all the lights.

 Me and my boss always go off bantering about who's trucks better...

I say his F-250 is rubbish because it doesnt have a box steel frame and I have a 7 foot bed.

But his does have 500+ lb ft of torque....

Sebrings have water pumps inside the engine (like literally), when they fail, they leak and make milkshake. Thousands are junked cuz of this.

The oil galleries are pitifully small too.

IMO a fwd bubble throw away car.

Maybe because he thinks that the wood grain is an expensive chrysler parts that is worth boasting off. Well, there are really that kind of people who always thinks that his car is better, a biased judgement. :D

My wife and I have a 2001 Stratus. It sucks. It sucks HARD. It's basically a rebadged Chrysler. at 50k the plug wires fried and we had to get it a total tune up. At 43k the resistor for the blower motor burnt out and all I could get was the 3rd and 4th speeds on the fan. At about 60k the tranny blew and stranded my wife and her Dad, $3k later and it was fixed. It's at around 83k now i shudder to think what blows up next. The Water pump thing has always bugged me too, one leak and there goes a 2.4L POS.

And the "woodgrain" is applique, grab some from ACE or something and slap it on your dash and he's got nothin' on you. We have the "woodgrain" in our car too and it's cheap plastic panels with the applique over it. Those cars have such a bad "lemon" rep that mechanics go "oh no" when you tell them what it is!!!

Funny thing is, they aren't bad looking cars. I actually like the styling and the interior a lot, just the engine / drivetrain is a POS. Someone cut the tunnel out, put a damned HEMI and T56 in it, swap a Dana in the back and then YOU GOT A DAMNED MOPAR!!!!

Ask him where the battery is. then start the stopwatch LOL.

Depending on the exact trim and model it's either
    A. passenger side in the fender. you have to pull the airbox to unhook the battery then remove it through the wheel well IIRC.
    B. drivers side fender, unhook and remove from the wheel well. If you have a lift, you don't have to take the wheel off.
