WELL I went and bought some headers and didnt realize they were for the 4x4 model only.....SO WHAT EXACTLY IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THOSE...ALSO is there a difference in the 84-88 22r headers than 89-90's 22r headers..any links to the 2WD headers out there..that are under $200 ?

Cheap headers ,or any other parts ,are exactly that !
Thin wall material that won't last!
Incorrectly formed tubes of unequal lengths!
None if any grains in HP!

You get what you pay for,so research & pay only one time!

Save up and buy good parts. Don't waste your time on something your gonna have to replace. Lc or doug thorley are is a good header. The 4x4 header hangs to low.

the 4x4 header probably just is angled in a different way that's all, so fitment might be an issue.

there is a lot of science when involving headers.. back pressure pulse, etc.. i always expect to pay 300 for a decent header and upwards of 800-1000 for a very nice one. Sometimes the cheapo ebay ones perform worse that oem.

Honestly the 22RE's header is good enough for what it is, just open up the rest.

If you just change the exhaust and leave the stock manifold in place, you're only making noise.

The 4x4 headers are the long stack. So for your 2wd, you wanna get the short stack.
