So I bought my brother who just turned 15 last Saterday, got a surprise today as a birthday gift. I bought him this 93 standard cab 5 speed. Some brief history on the truck. This truck was my neighbors and for a $1000 my friend bought it because it needed "to much work" He worked for toyota and we threw all new toyota parts on it. Engine gaskets, oil pump, rad, plugs, wires, and new front end (4x4). So he did some tweed work and drove it for a yearish. Then he sold it to another friend of ours for $3000 and he just drove it for a few years. So now I got it for $1000. Already got quite abit of work done. So enough blah blah on to the photos.

Tool box getting sold. Also came with bunch of oil filters

Parts that are waiting to go on that we have:
    New black leather headliner
    SR5 bucket seats
    15" moon wheels
    Belltech Drop Spindles
    Energy Suspension bushings
Billet steering wheel with billet hub
    New dash
Shaved tailgate with tag box welded in

We have a long way to go but it will be fun working with him on this project. I have buying parts for this truck before I even had bought it. Plans are the stock blue with metallic flacks and black pinstripe, 4/5 drop and clean up the engine some.

Well it will be coming out in a few weeks in favor of a billet wheel. I have an extra one also but the leather is cracked. The grant wheel is in my basement was going to throw it away.

I took him out yesterday to learn 5speed and he did well at it. I will be removing the wheel in a few weeks once he is use to the truck. It does not have power steering and the bigger wheel helps with the turning when the truck is stopped.

Well today took it to get a safety and emissions. Passed the safety buy fail the emissions test at the 15mph test. The co's where way to high. 1.something was allowed and it read 5.8. Found that the dizzy was all the retarded so that might be one reason. I got home a turned the motor to TDC and set the dizzy up but dont have a light so I know its still off alittle, adjusted the TPS and now it run better but I think the chain guide is broken cause the front of the motor is making a strange sound. Just ordered a Engnblder timing kit and head gasket and next weekend I hope to install all of it. Joys of a $1000 truck but I know when it is done it will last for another 200k plus. Also found a guy on Cl selling parts from an extra cab so gonna get something tomorrow.

Well my engnblder kit come tomorrow so today met up with a friend of mine and got the timing set right and also adjusted the tps even more. Wow the truck has power now. He thinks my timing chain and guides I have now are fine but still going change it all out. Next weekend I should start on the motor. I have to go out of town again this monday-friday.
