So i'm trying to bring my grandparents old pickup camper back to life. Just replaced the fuel pump which wasn't working but is now. Even with fuel now getting up to the carburator the engine will start and run for a few seconds and then die. Where should I start with this?
I'll get some pics up ASAP. Vaccum lines all look good. Is it possible that it has to do with the automatic choke? I want to make sure it's the carb that needs fixin' before i jump into that. I've never rebuilt a carb before...am I better off getting a rebuild kit and doing it myself or buying a new one altogether?
ok I didn't check the vacuum lines well. I was just a bit confused...ahh sometimes i'm reminded I dont really know what I'm doing. So vacuum lines or carb
is there a small box with a wiring harness plug inside the cab, on the drivers side kick panel up under the dash?
The camper is located in Ellensburg, WA. I got her runnin' now. I found a clog in the returning fuel lines and put a can of Spray in carb cleaner through it. I'm having the gas tank cleaned....man that thing was filthy...so when I get that back I should be able to take it for it's maiden voyage. Hasn't been driven since 91 and the thing is full of rat ****. Thanks for the help.
