not sure which thread to put this under but i am going to northwest florida tomorrow to look at some 79 to 83 truck parts. the guy has been collecting and restoring trucks for 25 years and said he has quite the collection he is looking to get rid of. i will be more than happy to give up the honey hole after i rape and pillage the place. if your looking for anything in particular, let me know and i will look for it for you.

he said he is going to start selling on ebay. but face to face he will give better prices. the parts i bought today he had at 600 bucks and got them all for 400 plus he threw in some bonus stuff. i will be going back the week after thanksgiving to pick up a rust free cab. pm me your list. i dont mind being the middle man and ship to you. he has at least a dozen complete trucks and 4 runners and enough used parts to fill a home depot building.

hey I just got your pm, hope u got mine lol.. but yes he is the guy im thinking of.. he does bad buisness and is a royal a s s h o l e ! look at his craigslist adds.. watch how its the same one month after month after month ! hes been trying to sell a block for 100 and a head for 200 for over a year now.. I bought some rims for BYE a year or so ago and he dicked me around.. I told him I had to be at work he insisted I come right away.. he made me meet him at his shoddy creepy single bay shop and wait for 20 mins while he tinkered with a toyota rv, then I followed him in his lifted tacoma ( SHORT ASS GUY TALL ASS TRUCK!) to his house another 15 mins away where the rims were... then I was 2 hours late to work after all said and done... so I take back my offer, Dont ask me to buy stuff for you. I never want to see him again. thanks lol.
yep, thats him. he did make me wait for a few minutes today then followed him around the countryside, but i was able to score some interior parts where i had none. i only plan on picking up that 81 cab since the floors and engine bay are top notch.
the parts i got yesterday were stuff i needed. he only has a blue 2 spoke left and then alot of newer stuff.
Dito, he wasn't to helpful/friendly over the phone... I asked him about shipping me the wheels and got a really negative attitude back... Oh well, I guess he's been in the salvage business a long time and has heard all the haggling techniques... Too bad coz there are some willing to pay his asking price for the parts needed... Glad it worked out for you tho!
thanks man, and if you need anything over there just let me know. i guess i got really lucky and didnt get jerked around. maybe it was because i had my daughter with me, who knows. we'll see when i go pick up that cab
got another cab, windshield, like new weatherstrip with chrome insert, brake and clutch pedal pads, front and rear markers lights with harness, and a front seat with center console for 150 bucks this weekend from the same dude. he is holding a tilt column with turn signal and wiper arms, side mirrors, and brake master and booster for another 100 bucks. i keep having good luck with this dude.
