horrible day

    on my way home i noticed a problem with my truck i get to high rpms and it starts to act like there no fuel and it loses all power till the rpms go back down my only temporary fix has been unplugging the battery and plugging it back up i get my power back like before it happened and also my idle screw loosens itself and turns the idle up help is really appreciated im going through alot and some good advice will help me thankyou

    it is a high rpm miss i dont know why it does it the gas is good and everything it only gets a temporary fix when battery's unplugged and replugged anyone know what sensor caused it?

    i would have said fuel filter until you mentioned it works after you disconnect and reconnect the battery. hmmm still check that fuel filter man.

    ight thanks will do and idk if my milage has anything to do with it but i have 279,456 miles on it im just curious if somthing finally went out on it

    look through the troubleshooting and diagnostics stuff on there, it may help you out. i dont know much about 22re's mines just a 22r plain and simple most of the time

    my 4runner had kind of a similar problem and it was the coolant temperature switch i don't know if that is your problem or not it was only like 10 bucks and 5 minutes to put it on.

    mine was the alternator ground.

    as for idle screw, grab a new o ring if it helps.

    ok you guys are gonna make fun of me i know it but i think my truck was just jealous of a girl second i dropped her off it worked fine im stumped anyone else have an emotional toy?

    So, you drove around with a girl for the past 6 days, dropped her off, and now it works fine?
