Hey I just found this site last night while looking for different springs for a race truck I just got. I traded my Jet Boat for the truck. I dont know a whole lot about it because the guy I got it from didnt know crap. It has a stock 22r in it right now but he gave me a LC Engineering short block and a 20r head. My neighbor said he thinks the truck is around a 1971 or so. The guy i got it from left the stock front springs in it and they are way too soft. I am looking for something to replace them with a higher spring rate. Any help would be awesome. I will be racing the truck next season at Antioch speedway here in California. I also need new leaf springs if anyone has some old ones paying around please let me know thanks.

    Welcome

Get some good pics in this thread! Do you have a title or registration? There should be a tag in the engine bay that describes the truck; take a look at that.

No paper work on it its only for the race track. The tag in the engine compartment is gone. Ill get more pics of it up soon. I know there are probly going to be some guys pissed that a old one got cut up and turned into a racecar but oh well thats the way i got it.

Well I didnt get to use the jet boat as much as i wanted because the weather sucked this summer. Then went to the billetproof car show drank some beer. Then went to the race track because my wife hadnt been this year. Drank some more beer and my friend was selling it. I asked if he wanted to trade and he said yeah. Good thing my wife wasnt sober because she didnt care till the next day when it was home. To bad for her. I like the toyotas better anyway for a few reasons. The first is that the ford mini trucks have to weigh 2750lbs and the toyotas only have to weigh 2500. I might have to add an extra 100lbs because it should have over 11to1 compression.

The suspension has to stay stock. The guy i got it from put a disk brake on the left front. We dont run a right front. I was reading last night where someone was using mighty max springs. I think thats the way im going to go for a start. I think my truck came from the factory with a 1500 so if those springs are still in it they arent going to hold up the motor thats in it now. I also read that the same person used camaro shock. Which would be good since I would be able to get afco race shocks that would mount in the stock spot.

Yeah. Gotta read through that section. He did use those and posted the parts #s for all of them. It should still be on the top since that section moves kinda slow.

    Nice truck too
