pushed it out of the garage and turned it around, drained the oil, there was a tiny bit of anitfreeze came out first has me a little worried now damnit. Pulled the pan, no guide chunks either so maybe it was the tensioner that crapped out. do I have to pull all the stuff off the cover before I pull it off? Oh and what all comes in the single row timing set from Engnbdlr? Oh and anybody know, can I just get a new bearing for the AC tensioner pulley or do I need a new pulley?
You going have to pull everything off the front of the motor first before you can remove the timing chain cover. One quick way to check is to remove the valve cover and check the condition of the chain, guides and tensioners. Engnbdlr has all kinds of different kits. I got the one with steel guides and oil pump. I can sell that one to you if you want. Its still brand new in box, never opened it, just sitting in the box it got shipped in. Let me know if your interested.
Today I put the first of many primer coats on. It's funny how some dents do show up until after you pant.
would i have a milkshake from not dropping the oil pan when i did the timing chain? i know its very possible the the coolant would have gone down into the oil pan when removing the timing cover yes? maybe thats why i have the efffin milkshake action
mine just looked like used oil but the truck hasnt run for most of the year either when I cracked open the drain there was a dribble of antifreeze
I went to the Toyota dealership to get the bolts for the bed. I was intrigued to hear that Toyota doesn't stock hardly anything for vehicles older than fifteen years or more. Now I'm left wondering how to Jerry-rig my bed back on to my frame. Does anyone have any helpful hints?
