I just got a Celica 22r to rebuild & put in my 87 4x4 truck. The Celica has a larger Weber carb, does it have more HP than the truck engine? My truck runs good but seems tired & has alot of blowbye. Is the cam in the Celica engine different than the truck engine?:shrug

ya the bigger carb will make slightly more power, you might feel a lil difference, nothing huge.
they are the same motor though so if yours is all tired and busted and this one is new and peppy you are gonna feel a difference even before the carb is factored in.

Injected motors had a smaller cam.
Carb had a slightly bigger cam.

    They are both peanuts tho.
