I think I'm having a fuel injector issue. I ran the truck a bit too low on fuel one day last week(I know, I know:rolleyes: ), and now it seeems likes it's running on rough. I changed the fuel filter hoping that it was blocked partially but that didn't help. I checked the plugs and found one to be really rich. I tried running the truck with that plug wire off and then put it back on and it didn't seem like it changed at all. So I'm guessing I have either a plugged injector or burnt one.

Any ideas on what I could try? If I have to change out the injector does the intake plenum have to come off? It's the cylinder on the passenger side near the firewall. I can't even see the injector.

I have had quite a bit of experience working on the 22r's and 22re's but this is my first V6 and I need some help. Thx in advance guys!

I've never seen or heard of that before. I know I've gone to the dealer and bought one a long time ago that you spray directly into the throttle body. It seemed to work not bad but I'm going to give this a try if I can find it. Thx.

Just because you have fuel on the plug doesn't only mean that you have a stuck injector. It could also mean that you don't have spark there, did you check for that?
My 3vze burnt a valve not to long ago and caused the same type issue (not sure why though).

Actually I was just doing some reading and it seems you can burn a valve with a lean condition. Maybe that's what happened when I ran the tank low? Geeez I hope not!!! Anyway I'm out to the shop to try and diagnose the problem.

Well I think I found the problem. I pulled the plug wire from the distrubitor and the end was cororded and pretty much fell apart. I was getting spark before but I guess it was intermittent. I managed to get a good contact with this wire and it seems to run way better. I'll have to run to town tomorrow and grab some wires. I sure hope this fixes it. Thx guys!
